Prototyping, testing, and making new snowboards is insanely fun and why we started the company in the first place. Our prototyping systems have become very efficient over the years and we have arrived at a point where we can share it!” With the Lib Tech DIY Bitchin’ Board Builder, customization is no longer solely reserved for team riders and the experiMENTAL Division alone. The new DIY Board Builder let a rider create their own custom snowboard, choosing the Lib Tech board model and corresponding bottom contour Banana, Banana/Camber, or Camber Dominant/Submissive Banana, as well as board size. Next a rider picked out sidewall colors, top sheet graphic and base graphic of their choice from a selection of classic and limited edition Lib Tech original artworks. Every DIY board came stamped with a personalized laser cut name badge, and for additional customization a rider could have the verbiage of their liking inked and knife cut into a one-of-a-kind dye cut base. This one is built from the Lib Tech Hot Knife. The Camber dominant C3 Hot Knife is the best of both worlds for the aggressive rider featuring the improved carving and edge hold, easy float in pow and catchfree freestyle freedom of Banana combined with the precise control, power pop, and stability of traditional 90’s camber. The Hot Knife’s all terrain freestyle / freeride shape, geometries, and smooth carving sidecut will kill it all over the mountain from the park, and pipe to the gnarliest backcountry lines.
