Gear Warranties

Many outdoor gear companies offer lifetime warranties or similar guarantees on their products as a way to stand by the quality and durability of their gear. Keep in mind that warranty policies may change over time, so it's essential to check with the company for the most up-to-date information.

General tips on repairing outdoor products:

  • Check the Warranty: First, determine if your gear is still under warranty. The companies listed below typically offer a limited lifetime warranty on their products, and they may repair or replace items that have manufacturing defects. If you’re covered, contact customer service.

  • Professional Repair Services: If your gear is not under warranty or the issue is not covered, go pro. Outdoor gear shops and local tailors can work their magic on zippers, tears, and other issues with clothing and equipment.

  • Contact the manufacturer: Even if your product is out of warranty, it's worth reaching out to customer service for advice. They may offer repair services or provide guidance on how to fix common issues yourself.

  • Online Resources: Check out  tutorials and forums where outdoor enthusiasts share their repair experiences and tips. Websites like iFixit can be valuable resources for DIY repair instructions.

  • Up-cycling: If your North Face product is beyond repair or you simply want to repurpose it, consider up-cycling it into something new. For example, you could turn an old jacket into a backpack or use the fabric to make other outdoor gear.

A side note – Repairing your gear responsibly extends its life and reduces waste. Also, show your gear some love with regular clean-ups and re-waterproofing.
